appropriating phenomena or the mote in your eye

glass is used for camera lenses due to the meticulous requirement of fidelity in transmission. the media chosen as the focal backplane is light sensitive emulsion or electrochemical. these differ in resolution. the higher the resolution the more noticable are any defects in the lens or substance occluding the surface of the lens. the tradeoff being the greater clarity, the more visible the imperfections.

with this accuracy the initial shot will be unique. certainly many shots can be taken. different ways to expose the event. but it is all from the photographer's center. each time a picture is taken, it becomes like a pebble in a stream, slightly altering the course, building movement downstream, unless reality steps in to change the events.

clean the lens, pick up the pebbles, look for the creative solutions.
